Srinagar: People by and large remained indifferent to poll process though contesting parties and candidates organized meetings, mostly indoors, seeking votes.
Colourful banners and buntings, a common feature in any indian electoral exercise, remain missing in Srinagar.
Friday was the last day of campaigning for Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency though hardly any rally was organized by political parties to seek mandate for their candidates. Contesting parties attribute this to flood scare which loomed over the valley following incessant rain from last three days.
People also alleged that the administration was so busy in setting up polling station that hardly any attention was given to areas which were inundated by incessant rains.
