SRINAGAR: Kashmir Observer Photojournalist Abid Bhat was severely injured while covering clashes at Rawalpora after Friday prayers.
Abid said that he was hit by a protective shield of a policeman who tried to pull the shield to protect himself from being hit by an incoming stone.
Abid was standing behind the policemen to capture the scene.
“I was hit on the eye-brow and was immediately rushed to City hospital in Hyderpora area,” said Abid
He received six stitches in the injured eyebrow.
