SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Thursday celebrated the Pakistan Day by holding events and programmes at every district headquarters across the state.
As was already announced, the largest programme was held at Srinagar which was chaired by the party chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, and was attended by hundreds of party members, a statement issued here said.
The statement said that thousands of party members and women participated in the progarmmes and celebrated the Pakistan Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
In the programmes, the statement said, the flags of Pakistan were raised and the anthem was sung to express the love and solidarity for Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering at the Srinagar event, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi said that Kashmiris were celebrating the day on a land that belongs to us . We are not celebrating this day on someone elses land but we are celebrating this great day on the land which has been illegally occupied by India and is destined to become part of Pakistan , InshaAllah, she said.
Though the JK is disputed territory, the celebrations, once again, is a clear message to India that we want to end all forcible, illegal and sinister relations with it and want to join our beloved country, Pakistan, she said.
She said that, during these programmes, the Kashmiri women once again pledged to uphold and struggle for the implementation of the resolution which was passed on March 23, 1940 by the Muslims of Sub-Continent. The resolution categorically states that formation of Pakistan was inevitable. Similarly, according to the two-Nation theory, we ought to become part of Pakistan. The women of Kashmir today pledged that this is the only resolution acceptable to the people of this occupied territory, she added.
She said that after becoming part of Pakistan, efforts to make Pakistan an ideal country where the rule of Allah SWT will be supreme The ideology behind creation of Pakistan is the creation of a country where Allahs rule is supreme. After joining that country, all of us (including our brothers and sisters from Pakistan) will work towards achieving the goal, she added.
For that we first need to free our pious land from the illegal and immoral occupation of India, she added.
She further said that the recent orders by the puppet government to cage all resistance leadership and the youth of Kashmir reveals how frustrated and scared these puppets. Everyone who is remotely associated with the resistance movement is being arrested, even my house too was raided many time for the past one week and several leaders and our youth have been jailed. This only reveals that these puppets are frustrated and scared and have no option but to arrest us rather than facing us, she added.
