SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review the progress on Rs 33 crore 4-lanning project of Boulevard from Nehru Park to Kralsangri.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, IGP, Chief Engineers of PWD, PDD, PHE, UEED, Director Tourism, General Manager BSNL, Chief Wild Life Warden, Collector Land acquisition, Tehsildhar South and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
It was given out that about 123 kanals of land including 17 structures, 12 shops and 03 plots of Theed, Brain, Asthal, Zethyar, Nowpora and Gupkar areas comes under the prestigious project.
Div Com directed the Chief Engineers PDD and PHE to take measures for shifting of electric poles and water supply pipes coming under the project immediately. He also directed General Manager BSNL to start the work of relocating mobile towers to ensure timely completion of the project.
Div Com stressed the revenue officials to clear all pending land acquisition cases within the time bound manner and disburse the compensation among the affected land and property owners at the earliest.
Div Com reviews Navroz arrangements
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting at Imambargah, Hassanabad, Rainawari to review the arrangements being put in place for Navroz.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, senior engineers and officers of PHE, PDD, SMC, Traffic, Traffic, LAWDA, RTO, Police, Health, SDA, Fisheries, besides representatives of Local Mohalla Committees were present in the meeting.
Div Com directed the Fisheries Department to ensure availability of sufficient stocks of fish at Gagribal, Alamgaribazar, Chandpora Harwan, Gundhasi Bhat, Abi Guzar and other Shia dominated areas.
He also directed PDD and PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply especially in these areas during Navroz. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure immediate repair of defunct street lights in these areas.
The officers of FCS&CA were asked to ensure availability of rice, besides, additional quota of kerosene and LPG.
The Health Department was asked to make medicare facilities available, besides keeping all the Health Centers in these areas open on Novroz.
The SMC officials were asked to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in these areas.
HWO hails officials visit
Hussaini Welfare Organization Hassanabad Rainawari has hailed the visit of Government officials to the area on the eve of Nowroz, on Thursday.
The government officials led by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir took stock of electricity, water supply etc. President Hussaini Welfare Organization Javed Hussain Shirazi and members were present on the occasion. Speaking at the meeting Shirazi highlighted the various issues facing the locality and thanked officials for there concern.
