BANDIPORA: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Hussain, today inaugurated a 10-day self defence training programme for girls at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora.
Organized by the Education Department in collaboration with Ali’s Sports Academy under RMSA, as many as 2000 girl students are taking part in the training programme during which they will be imparted necessary self defence skills.
It was given out that four studentsSabahat Afreen, Syed Fatiqa, Syed Nazim and Sheikh Adnan have been selected for International Taikwondo Championship in Bangkok on March 23, 2017.
On the occasion, the DDC lauded the role of organizers for conducting the training programme in the district and said that such programmes will go a long way in boosting confidence of students especially girls and promote sports activities in the Bandipora.
Chief Education Officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Principal GGHSS Bandipora, and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
