Srinagar: Authorities on Friday disallowed congregational Friday prayers at historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta Srinagar following the protest call by Resistance Leadership over the killing of two civilians in Pulwama on Thursday.
According to reports all roads leading to the Jamia Masjid were sealed and no one was allowed to enter the Masjid.
Earlier, chief cleric and Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest as he had proposed to held a pro-freedom rally
