Anantnag: A Block Development officer(BDO) of block Larkipora Anantnag was Thursday thrashed and abused by some contractors at his office.
An official of the Deptt while talking to Kashmir Observer said that a group of contractors came to BDO office Larkipora and misbehaved with the BDO Mohd Ismail shah adding that they later thrashed him.
The reasons for misbehaviour and thrashing was due my refusal to accept to their Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) bill, said the BDO adding that their work was not approved in previous MGNREGA plan in the area.
They didnt had the proper documents of the work they had done under political influence.
