Jammu: An Assistant Sub Inspector of Border Security Force Monday died of burn injuries while undergoing a treatment in a government hospital here. "ASI Siraj Shaikh, 51, resident of Bengal, who was posted at Sherpost Khenater Nalla, Poonch suffered critical burn injuries on February 18 when caught in flames lit to burn wild grass along the border," official spokesperson here today said. He said that the officer had received 60 to 70 per cent burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital from where he was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. "The ASI succumbed to burn injuries this morning," said the spokesperson.
