SRINAGAR: EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani ON Friday condemned the alleged statement of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu regarding the duties of employees of Jammu and Kashmir.
It may be noted that social media was abuzz with a video in which Drabu is allegedly seen reacting to demands of veterinary graduates. We are giving salaries to 4.5 lakh employees of State who do absolutely no work, Dr Drabu is heard telling the representatives of Veterinarians. However, the authencity of the video is yet to be cheked.
EJAC president, Ab Qayoom Wani, while reacting to alleged statement of finance minister said, employees of JK do not need performance certificate of any one and our work and our performance is quiet clear and open before the people of J&K.
Wani castigated finance minister for issuing an irresponsible statement about the employees of the State.
Employees are public servants and not slaves of people who are at the helm of affairs, he said. Employees are getting salaries for their hard work and dedication towards their respective positions.
The EJAZ president further said that employees are the back bone of the any state or any government. These statements hurt the sentiments of employees. (KNS)
