JAMMU: Ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief whip and MLA Shopian Advocate Mohammad Yousuf Bhat on Monday sought re-opening of the investigation in to Asia-Neelofar double rape and murder case and demanded immediate judicial probe into the matter to identify the culprits and punish the guilty.
The entire opposition including National Conference and Congress supported Bhat on the constitution of a judicial panel to probe the deaths of Asia and Neelofar.
According to KNS, speaking on the motion of grants of the departments lying under the control of Chief Minister and PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, the MLA Shopian said that he has been named an accused for the fault of contesting the case of Asia and Neelofar as an advocate and many doctors and lawyers were also named accused only for the fault of offering medical and legal aid to the families of Asia and Neelofar.
