Jammu:Entire opposition on Monday walked out in protest against the continuing power crisis, water shortage and road blockades in Valley as soon as assembly started its proceedings the opposition members raised anti-government slogans and went into the well of the house.
Senior National Conference leader and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar told house that transformers damaged during the recent snowing are lying in workshops for repairs and government is yet to restore traffic on the main roads.
Shouting anti-government slogans other MLAs Vikar Rasool, Usman Majeed, Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Devender Singh Rana, Ishfaq Jabbar, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Abdul Majeed Larmi, Er Rashid and Bashir Ahmad Dar walked out from the house.
The entire opposition walked out from the house thereafter.
However parliamentary affairs minister Abdul Rahman Veeri told the house that allegations of opposition about availability of power, shortage of water and restoration of traffic are totally baseless and far from truth. He said all essentials services remain restored.
