Jammu: Government on Thursday said that 377 ex-militants along with 864 family members have returned from Pakistan via Nepal and Bangladesh since 2010.
Revealed in a written reply in the Legislative Assembly by government, it said that these ex-militants are not entitled to any benefit.
Since, these youth have not returned via approved routes, they are not entitled to any benefit available under the policy of 2010, the government documents mention.
The Rehabilitation Policy of 2010 recognizes four routes for return of ex-militants, the document mentions. These routes are JCP Waga/Attari, Salamabad/Chakkan-da-Bagh crossing on Line of Control and through the Indira Ghandi International Airport, New Delhi.
The documents state that no youth has been able to return via appropriate routes due to inexplicable reasons and difficulties.
The documents revealed that there are still 4088 missing persons in the government records who are believed to be in Pakistan.
