Srinagar: Fire damaged two buildings housing a cantonment of paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Gole Market in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar on Thursday.
A CRPF spokesperson said that the fire damaged some ammunition in the building besides causing severe damage to the building which was hosting the camp. The fire occurred due to a short circuit.
However, he said that the exact damage caused by the fire cannot be ascertained yet.
He said that the crpf men of the damaged camp would be accommodated in nearby camps temporarily.
