Jammu: Senior CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam moved the 14 amendments to the Governors address on Monday.
Tarigami regretted that there is no mention of any serious effort to address objectively the ongoing unrest in the valley. He regretted that there is no mention of constituting the time bound judicial commission headed by a retired Supreme Court judge to probe the recent civilian killings in the state.
But to regret that there is no mention of urging the Govt.of India to initiate a structured dialogue with all stakeholders to find out a negotiated settlement of Kashmir issue, that there is no mention of stopping the use of pellet guns in the state, that there is no mention of releasing of detenues, withdrawal of Disturbed Areas Act(DDA) and repealing of AFSPA, return of power projects to state from NHPC, tackling the ever-increasing and alarming unemployment problem in the state, payment of wages to thousands of DRWs/Casual labourers/need based/CPWs/seasonal labourers working in various departments in the state.
Tarigami regretted that there is no mention of enhancing of state share in the honorarium of Anganwadi Workers and helpers, sanction of honorarium to ASHAs, enhancement of honorarium to MDM and regularization of NHM employees, implementation of the Supreme Court judgment regarding equal pay for equal work, waiving off KCC loans of farmers and growers in the state, formulation of comprehensive rehabilitation of border migrants from LoC and IB and sufferings and hardships undergone by the people in the state on account of demonetization.
