SRINAGAR (ONS) – One person died and 11 others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley, police on Friday said.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01J/0542 hit and injured two pedestrians Abdul Rehman Dar son of Fateh Mohammad and Mst. Rehti wife of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Dangerpora Malbagh at Ellahi-Bagh near Grid Station, Srinagar in the jurisdiction of Police Station Soura. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, where Abdul Rehman Dar succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number Jk05B/6221 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad War son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Salamabad Dachan on way from Salamabad to Noor Khan rolled down into a deep gorge at Khan Mohalla Bunah, Baramulla, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijhama, resulting in injuries to nine passengers who were traveling in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Motorcycle bearing registration number JK04A/6808 driven by Azim Ahmad Ahangar son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Bijbehara, Anantnag, collided with an unknown load carrier at Bilal, Colony near K.P Road, Anantnag, in the jurisdiction of police station Mattan, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist who was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
