Srinagar: Expressing grief over the tragic plane crash in Pakistan, Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday said that any human loss, anywhere is saddening and moist everybody’s eyes.
Offering Condolences to the families of more than 48 people, who had been in this ill-fated plane, Geelani said that death has fixed time and place and every soul has to taste it, willingly or unwillingly.
In a statement issued to KNS, he said that unfortunate passengers included a renowned Islamic preacher and Junaid Jamsheed and his family.
“May Allah Almighty forgive their weaknesses and give them highest place in Jannah,” Geelani said, adding, the words fall short to express the grief and sorrow, but one can only pray for the eternal peace for departed souls and courage for the grieved families to bear this tragedy.
Meanwhile, strongly condemning the increased incidents of violence and hate against Kashmiri students in educational institutions outside the state, Geelani said that fascist forces patronised and encouraged by ruling class has made the life of these students miserable.
“They are being forced to pay the price for being Muslims and Kashmir’s as hate wave generated by jingoistic forces, especially media has engulfed almost whole of India and the grip is tightening with each passing day,” he said.
The Hurriyat (G) Chief said hat recent episode of these hate mongers has culminated in the physical torture of students in Dehradun and such shameless incidents are a farce reply to those deceitful rhetoric of India being the safest place for Muslims.
“Such inhuman and unethical incidents mettle our demand and resolve further, that our life, livelihood, chastity and honour, resources and property– nothing is safe and secure in India and sooner we get rid of this unjust and forced knot, better it is for our coming generations,” he said.
The Hurriyat (G) also condemned highhandedness of police at Murran Pulwama where a peaceful demonstration was disrupted by force, injuring and arresting dozens of people.
The amalgam said the recent orders by the top brass of police, to throttle and muzzle even the freak voice for justice, is being implemented in letter and spirit. (KNS)
