Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizul Mujahideen Thursday Warned Jammu and Kashmir Police of dire consequences if the families of militants were harmed in any way. “The fight is between you and us and families should not be involved in it,” new commander Zakir Rashid Bhat said.
Bhat, who took over as the commander of HM after the death of Burhan Wani on July 8 in an encounter, said if the action, including arresting of family members of militants, was not stopped at once, they will launch a counter attack on the families of police personnel.
“The fight is between us (security forces and militants). Why are you (police) involving over families in this? Everyone has families, so if you don’t stop action on your families, we will attack your families and it won’t matter if they lived in Jammu or any other part of India,” Bhat, in a video message surfaced on social networking sites, said.
He further warned that the attack on police personnel will also intensify.
