SRINAGAR: Noted Human Rights activist Khurram Parvez was Wednesday released from the Joint Interrogation Centre, Jammu, said Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS) in a statement.
"He was set at liberty after 76 days of incarceration, following the quashing of his preventive detention by the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, on 25th November 2016. He is in good health and spirits," added the statement.
Khurram has expressed gratitude to the local and international solidarity campaign for his release.
