Srinagar: Residents of Hajin and Sonawari said that people brought the problem of poor connectivity into the notice of BSNL authorities but no action was taken to provide relief to its subscribers.
To express anguish over the poor connectivity of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) especially internet services including Broadband and Wi-Max services, subscribers mostly businessmen fraternity of Sonawari and Bandipora area has criticized the authorities for their pathetic attitude for not providing better services.
They said that people brought the problem of poor connectivity into the notice of BSNL authorities but no action was taken to provide relief to its subscribers.
They alleged that due to poor landline, mobile and internet services of the BSNL, people are suffering. The concerned authorities are least bothered about the plight of the consumers while inflated bills are served them every month.
A local residents of Hajain Irfan Ahmad parry said that we are suffering huge losses due to careless attitude of BSNL authorities he added.
Meanwhile, in wake of current unrest in Valley, Many of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers are aghast over the over charges on their connection of company in district Kupwara from last few months.
BSNL Kupwara is charging installation and security every time customer goes to CCS (Customer Care Service) for their bill settlement. Broadband subscribers of Government of India owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Kupwara expressed strong resentment against what they termed “unjust” action by BSNL Company. BSNL is the only telecom service provider which charges installation and security from a customer fifth time until they have not accepted the bill from customer.
“Raoof Hussain, a BSNL Broadband subscriber from Kupwara town said that each month I receive bills from my BSNL broadband number (01955-252255) amounting to Rs 675, but this month they have raised bill amounting to Rs 1334 which is unjustified and I have already paid the amount of 3000 Rs when the bill was only 2882 along with that i did payment of Rs 90 online for the broadband usage and the balance was nil at that time and now they showed me the bill of Rupees of 1334 including installation charges which i have already paid at the last time."This month they have charged me installing charges again, i have paid the installation and security charges for the fifth time.
Subscribes said the company should withdraw the bills forthwith failing which “legal action will be initiated against them and request to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take stringent/strong action against the BSNL employees involving in such heinous things."
