Baramulla: Expressing concern over the recent incidents of rifle snatching from security forces by militants in the Kashmir valley, a senior Army officer however said that there is no trust deficit between local youth and security forces, engaged in bring normalcy.
“Rifle snatching incidents witnessed recently in the valley, particularly in south Kashmir was a cause of concern,” GOC Chinar Corps Lt General Satish Dua said after inaugurating “Chinar 9 Jawan Club” in border area of Boniyar in Uri in this north Kashmir district of Baramulla today.
There were at least three incidents of rifle snatching from police guards in south Kashmir districts of Kulgam and Anantnag during the past one month.
He said the Army and other security forces, including Jammu and Kashmir police, are working closely to bring normalcy in the state.
