Kargil:Thousands of people attending the fourth day ceremonies after Ashura in Sankoo near here turned into protest against the recent killings of Muslims in different parts of the world including Kashmir valley.
The procession organised by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo passed through the main bazar denouncing the recent killings in Kashmir besides Afghanistan and Nigeria and Yemen.
Mourners were also carrying play cards with slogans in solidarity with the people of Kashmir, Nigeria Yemen and Afghanistan. Protesters were also raising slogans for immediate release of prominent Shia cleric of Nigeria Shiekh Ibrahim Zakzaky and against the massacre of mourners in the African country on the Day of Ashura.
The procession started from Zainabia thang Imambargah and marching through main bazar Sankoo culminated at Musalah e Mehdia.
Meanwhile speaking to the mourners Anjuman spokesperson Aga Ahmad Rizvi said that "We strongly condemn the recent attack on Shia Muslims in Kabul and Nigeria. He said today once again we have to stand against Yazaidiyat of our times and deplore all inhuman action against the oppressed nations.
Accusing Saudi ruling clique and ISIS for distorting the true face of Islam he said that by imposing war on poor Yemen, Saudi rulers have proved that they don't care for the Islamic teachings.
Ahmed also talked about the current situation in Kashmir Valley saying Kargil is an inseparable part of Kashmir and people of Kargil will not allow division of state on the basis of region, religion and ethnicity.
Rizvi further said, that the people of Kargil oppose calls emanating from either Delhi, Nagpur or Leh for the division of the state”.
He said, “Today worst atrocities are being perpetrated in Kashmir including on women and children and Kashmir has been converted into big jail and we strongly condemn it.”
He further said, “If Prime Minister Narindera Modi can visit entire world why he has closed his eyes on Kashmir and is not visiting there”.
Rizvi also appealed for meaningful dialogue with all stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir to restore peace and normalcy.
