SRINAGAR: Two assault rifles were snatched from J&K Police cops in South Kashmir district of Pulwama on Saturday late evening.
Sources said that suspected militants snatched the assault rifles from the cops who were guarding a minority family in Tumlehaal village of Pulwama near Tahab.
The militants, number of whom was not immediately known, escaped from the spot unhurt.
On Friday late night, one cop was killed and another injured when suspected militants attacked them in the same Shopian district. The cops were guarding a minority family.
A member of the Pandit family was caught in the cross firing and injured.
