SRINAGAR: Directorate of Health Services Kashmir on Thursday held a one day “special outreach” medical camp in Srinagar.
A statement issued by DHSK said that camp was organized under National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, CVD & Stroke (NPCDCS).
The camp was organized by Chief Medical Officer Srinagar at JLNM Hospital Rainawari Srinagar under the aegis of Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir.
A total of 97 people were screened in the camp out of which number of patients was detected for suspected Diabetes and Hypertension.
In addition to this 3 Cardio vascular disease (CVD) patients were also detected, the statement added.
The Doctors at the camp also sensitized the patients and others about the disease and preventive measures to be adapted to avoid complications. People were also made aware about the programme and the services available under NPCDCS, it added.
