Bandipora: The 7th district wushu championship concludes yesterday at Boys Middle school Kulhama, Bandipora.
The championship was organized by Bandipora wushu Association,(BWA) affiliated with J&K wushu association.
On the occasion Mr. GM Mir, Tehsildar Bandipore was the chief guest who congratulated both the winners and runners-up team for participating and reaching in the finals.
Mir highlighted the importance and objectives of the sports in general and wushu martials arts in particular.
Mir said both boys and girls in particularly should take part in games like wushu and Martial art for their self defence.
The wushu academy of Kulhama Bandipore became the winner –up and Nadihal martial arts club Bandipore became runner up. Wushu is both an exhibition and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts.It was developed in China after 1949.
He also appreciates district wushu association for conducting such a grand event.
Near about 230 boys and girls of district Bandipore took part in the championship
