BHIMBER – India has started constructing underground bunkers along its frontier with Pakistan in Kashmir in the past two weeks, amid growing fears of escalated tension between nuclear-armed neighbours.
According to the Telegraph, the fortification work comes as cross-border gunfire in northern Kashmir now occurs “every night”.
Work on the bunkers started soon after 19 soldiers lost their lives during Uri attack on September 18 sparking anger among the Indians.
