SRINAGAR: Seven people were killed and three others injured while about six were missing after a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in north Kashmir's district of Bandipora.
Official sources said here today that the vehicle, which was on its way from Bandipora to border town of Gurez, carrying BEACON labourers skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Tragba last evening.
They said over 15 labourers were onboard the vehicle when it met with accident, adding a massive rescue operation was launched immediately. Seven bodies were recovered and the injured were shifted to hospital. Rescue operation was going on, the sources added.
