SRINAGAR: Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) chief and MLA Langate Er Rashid on Thursday appealed Indian leadership to shun “arrogance, stop misleading” world community and accept Pakistan Prime Minister’s Dialogue offer made at UN.
In a statement issued this evening Rashid said, “Nawaz Sharief not only successfully highlighted the atrocities on Kashmir’s by India but also reminded World Community of its duties towards resolving their political disputes and coming out of Islamophobia.”
“He has proved Pakistan’s sincerity and will by asking UN to implement the terms and conditions required for holding plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. India should understand that it’s claim of accusing Pakistan being a terrorist state has no takers, as all those movements which India brands as terrorist movements, are offshoots of Afghan Jihad, which was initiated, supported and organised by world community. Their goals remain the same as had been in the war against Russians if India has a right to claim that India’s terrorists cannot be Pakistan’s freedom fighters, then what is wrong in Pakistan’s claim that yesterday’s martyrs and freedom fighters cannot be today’s terrorists. Whatsoever Pakistan is suffering within at the hands of militants, is reaping seeds of helping world community in fighting Afghan Jihad,” Rashid said adding, “Nawaz Sharief has successfully explained that UN charter allows all those nations who are deprived of right to Self Determination, to resist occupation forces and as such if he has said Burhan Wani is a role model for Kashmiri youth what is wrong in that? It would be in India’s in own interest to respond positively to Pakistan’s call for dialogue rather propagating hate and war mongering.”
