SRINAGAR:Noted human rights activist, Khurram Parvez, was shifted to Jammu’s Kotbalwal jail late Wednesday night.
Authorities on Wednesday slapped draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on the rights activist,after a Srinagar court ordered his release on Tuesday,
Khurram is chairperson of Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances (AFAD) and Programme coordinator of J-K Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS).
“He was shifted to Kotbalwal jail around 11 PM on Tuesday night,” said Sameena Mir, wife of Khurram.
“We have not been told about the grounds of detention about Khurram nor were we given any documents,” she said.
