Srinagar:The family members and relatives of Irfan Ahmad Pandit who was allegedly killed six months ago Tuesday staged protest against the accused person.
The family as well the relatives of Pandit assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave in the morning hours today and chanted slogans against accused. They also said that the authorities have miserably failed to arrest the accused.
They were demanding immediate action against the accused who they identified as Aijaz Ahmad Malik.
The family who hails from Sheikh Mohalla Khanyar while talking to KNS alleged that their beloved one was killed by the person Aijaz Ahmad Malik following which they registered First Information report (FIR) vide number, 52/2016 under section 4/302 RPC, dated 02/08/2016 at Police Station Khanyar.
They said that following the registration of the case, the accused Aijaz was arrested by the police but a few days ago he was released.
The protesting family and relatives later appealed higher ups to look into the matter and book the involved culprit in this regard as soon as possible. (KNS)
