SRINAGAR:A 24-year-old youth drowned into Jehlum river after the government forces chased him in Sangam area of Anantnag district yesterday.
The youth identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad son of Mohammad Iqbal Khan of Dadoo Marhama Bijeberha jumped into Jehlum river along with two others after the government forces chased them yesterday. His body was fished out Saturday morning.The other two had managed to swim to the banks safely.
