SRINAGAR: A massive pro-freedom march was taken out in North Kashmir’s Trehgam in Kupwara district.
The march attended thousands of people which started from Markaz-i-Jamia Masjid Trehgam after the congregational Friday prayers were over.
The pro-freedom march swelled up after people from Bunpora area joined it on general road near village hospital.
The rally marched through different neighbourhoods of the restive village before peacefully concluding at Shaheed Chowk in Maqbool Abad locality.
The witnesses said that protestors during the march raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans coupled with anti-army slogans.
They raised the slogans including, “Ghadharo sun lo, Azadi; makaaro sun lo, Azadi.”
They were carrying flags and banners reading, “End State Terror, We want Freedom.”
Earlier in the day, stone pelting incidents took place in the village after which curfew was relaxed.
