SRINAGAR: Hundreds of people came out on roads soon after news spread that forces have raided the area.
Local sources said that cops of JKP including SOG personnel along with CRPF personnel reached Natipora Tuesday evening.
They were looking for Mufti Sajad,” sources said, “but he was not present in the area.
Mufti Sajad is a resident of North Kashmir’s Kupwara and is living in Srinagar for over a decade now and is running a seminary in Natipora.
“Darul Uloom Islamia is being run by him in Stadium Colony Natipora,” sources said.
“As soon as the news spread, people made announcements on Masjid Loudspeakers and hundreds came out,” sources informed.
“The local populace blocked all routes and ensured no one is touched or arrested,” the locals claimed.
