Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) has strongly condemned the brutal attack by SOG and CRPF on 80 year old citizen of Tral Ab. Qayoum and injuring him along-with his wife.
Giving details Hurriyat (G) Spokesman said that local SOG personnel and the CRPF raided the house to arrest Shabir Ahmad Falahi but as he was not present there, they tried to arrest his brother, Noor Mohammad, but met some resistance from the family.
To prove their might and aggression they fired upon them injuring his father Abdul Qayoum and his Mother, both were rushed to SMHS hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
Accusing police especially SOG personnel of ruthlessness and barbarism, spokesman said that recently policemen were complaining of the public wrath against their families as they are terrified and fear the worst from the society.
He questioned them why you harass the brother or other family members instead of persons you want to arrest. He cautioned these black-sheeps in police to desist from these activities, otherwise you will have to face the public.
Spokesman while commenting on the army’s statement about efforts of all people including resistance leadership to bring peace in the valley said that peace is a distant dream till the last army person is here on our land.
Elaborating this he said that Kashmir is a political issue and armed personnel have no say in such issues as they are only being used by the imperialistic leadership of India to hold this land by force.
Addressing the army officer he said that in case you stand on any moral ground, you convey and convince your leadership about the ground situation that 70 long years have failed us to kill the freedom sentiment of Kashmiris and the mood of new generation we face here on the streets today testifies the fact that we are battling a lost fight. Instead of appealing for peace to us you better convey to your masters in Delhi that brutality, force and tyranny failed to us to make the people Jammu and Kashmir to surrender, so better to vacate from here at the earliest to save our own country from disintegration.
Spokesman thanked the people and government of Norway for their support to our just struggle.
Meanwhile on the directions of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, a team of Hurriyat activists including Advocate Devinder Singh, Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, Abdul Ahad Parra and Rafiq Ahmad Raina visited Aripathan Beerwah to participate in the joint programme of paying homage to the 4 innocent youth killed recently by Indian forces.
They appealed people to remain steadfast and follow the joint resistance programme in letter and spirit. (KNS)
