Srinagar:- Various high level delegations of Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JeI) visited various hospitals of Srinagar and met the injured persons admitted therein and their attendants and expressed total solidarity and sympathy with them on behalf of Ameer-e-Jamaat Ghulam Muhammad Bhat on whose instructions relief work is in full progress in the temporary relief camps run by District Jamaat Srinagar.
As per the statement issued to KNS, these delegations consisted of Ghulam Qadir Lone (Secretary General), Advocate Zahid Ali (Chief Political Bureau), Gazi Mueen-ul-Islam Nadvi (Asstt. Secretary General), Ess Ahmad Pirzada (Chief Press & Publications), Irfan Ahmad (Dy. Chief Press & Publications), Umar Sultan (Chief, Islami Jamait-e-Talaba), Muhammad Ashraf and other workers of Jamaat.
The delegation enquired about the health conditions of the injured persons and their necessary requirements and assured them of all possible assistance. District Jamaat Srinagar has already provided assistance in the form of cash, drugs, eatables, clothes etc to the needy and this process will continue.
On observing the conditions of the injured, it is evident that Indian security forces and SOG of Police have crossed all limits of cruelty and high handedness and also trampled down all moral and human values while dealing with the peaceful protestors, spokesman said.
He said that the indiscriminate firing and shelling by pellet guns and throwing tear gasses have been such intense as is seen during the full-fledged war. Every vital part of the human body has been badly hit resulting in thirty five deaths and injuries to more than three thousand innocent and unarmed youngsters holding peaceful protests, he said.
Jamaat-e-Islami while condemning this state sponsored barbarity, is satisfied with the reaction shown by Pakistan and other world bodies including OIC and Amnesty International and appeals the world community to came forward to save Kashmiri from annihilation at the hands of government of India and use diplomatic pressure against the tyrant government of India to stop these atrocities and resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people here.
Jamaat demands stern action against India for use of excessive and unwarranted force against the people of Kashmir time and again.
