Srinagar:- Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir(DHSK) has been organizing blood donation camps across the valley on routine basis in peripheral hospitals and in that context five blood donation camps have been conducted till date since three days.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the blood donation camps have been organized at District Hospital Anantnag, Sub District Hospital Sopore, Sub District Hospital Chadoora, District Hospital Baramulla and District Hospital Handwara.
A total of 250 blood pints have been collected till evening in these three days.
Moreover volunteers are donating blood at various peripheral hospitals on routine basis.
Staff of Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir is also participating in these camps.
Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman has directed concerned hospital administrators where ever there is less burden of trauma patients the blood points should be sent to tertiary care hospitals so that patients are benefited who are in dire need.
He also expressed gratitude to all the volunteers who came in front to donate blood such that blood banks of vital hospitals are fully functional all the time for patient care.
