SRINAGAR: On the directions of Awami Action Committee (AAC) President and APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq several relief camps were setup at different places across the Srinagar city in which food and medical assistance was provided to the people attending hundreds of patients at different hospitals in Srinagar.
Two main Camps were jointly set up by AAC and Darul Khair outside SMHS Hospital Old City and SKIMS Soura being supervised by AAC Youth President Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad. Apart from food and other basic amenities people particularly the attendants were given free medicine besides arranging blood to the needy at respective camps.
Almost 80-90 youth of AAC and Darul Khair have been put on foot voluntarily and are distributing water bottles and food packets on a large scale outside hospitals.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq directed the workers and activists of ACC to provide full assistance to needy and is himself monitoring the prevailing situation during which 30 youths including a girl were killed so far in government firing following the martyrdom of prominent Hizb Commander Burhan Wani. (PTK)
