Udhampur: Miscreants thrashed a group of Kashmiri youth who were on their way to Srinagar from Jammu near Patnitop and caused damage to their private vehicle.
Residents of Mochhu Kralpora in Srinagar outskirts said that hooligans intercepted their car (JK01V-4443) near Patnitop and thrashed them. I along with my friends Zubair Nabi, Asghar Ali and Mudasir Nisar had a narrow escape when miscreants attacked us for being Kashmiri. We were rescued by a group of Muslims who later escorted us up to Batote, said Irfan Ahmed Bhat.
The youth added that they managed to flee from the spot even though the miscreants caused heavy damage to their vehicle. We were attacked for being Kashmiri. They hurled choicest abuses and claimed that they will kill every Kashmiri. We were terrified, they said. (CNS)
