SRINAGAR:- Minister for R&B, Mr. Abdul Rehman Veeri today informed the House that an amount of Rs. 1.27 crore stands deposited with various banks for Right of Way (RoW) permission for the restoration of roads likely to get damaged by laying of Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) in Baramulla constituency.
Replying to a deferred question by Javid Hassan Baig, the Minister said that the road cut charges pertaining to Ushkura Fatehpora road and Delina main road to Kashmir University Campus have neither been deposited by the firm nor any permission has been granted by this office. He said in respect of part of Barmulla Gohan road an amount of Rs. 6.92 lakh has been deposited and permission stands also accorded.
The Minister said the agency deposited the requisite amount of Rs. 14822800 to Chief Engineer directly but the demand draft was returned with direction to process the same through Superintendent Engineer concerned. He said during this process the demand draft lost its validity. He said the demand draft has accordingly been returned to the firm of its validation which shall on its receipt be realized and credited into the official A/C of the Department.
