SRINAGAR, JUNE 17: Calling for speedy distribution of voter slips among the voters, Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Shantmanu asked the concerned for early completion of voter slips distribution process for the bye-elections of 40-Anantnag Assembly segment.
Chairing a meeting, the CEO said that distribution of voter slips would help the voters to cast their votes without any inconvenience on the polling day. He said that the voters should also meet the BLO if they not receive their voter slips at home.
Mr. Shantmanu said that the summery revision of voter list was made on January, 2016 and after continuous up-dation from the Month of January 1577 new voters were registered, saying that now total number of registered voters goes to 85608, of them 43512 are male and 42092 female.
The CEO was informed that the voter slip distribution process is going on and most of the areas of the Constituency have been covered, adding that the rest of the areas would be covered at the earliest.
