SRINAGAR: Lone Star Kashmir Football Clubs stop-start campaign ended their 2nd Division I-League campaign on a winning note, defeating 3-2 in their last fixture played at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground Srinagar on Saturday.
It was a hard fought game with both teams exhibiting aggressive style of play infront of a decent crowd. LSKFC in particular were team desperate to make the chance count bringing their top game to the fore.
Asheer, Farooq Choudary and Atinder Mani scored a goal each for the winners while Stephen a Nigerian recruit scored a brace of goals for the visitors.
LSKFC managed appeared happier on winning the game after it had lost winning mojo in the final round of the tourney.
The Kashmir based club that became first side from the J&K to play in the I-League had a decent start to the tourney topping the charts in the first round. But as the tournament wore on LSKFC found the going difficult with some of its main players making a switch to other club.
The latest win, however, will give them a good base for the next season.
