Srinagar: A special coaching camp organised by J&K State Sports Council for various sports ended Saturday, a statement from the organisers issued here said.
The camp which saw experts impart nuances of the sports like Football,Volleyball, Cricket, Hockey, Kabaddi, Yoga and Weightlifting was held at Bakhshi Stadium.
According to the statement, around 200 trainees received coaching.
Speaking on the presentation ceremony secretary Sports Council Javed Shah said, the purpose of these camps is to improve the standard of games and Sports in the State and also to encourage overall participation of the players.
Shah assured the trainees that for the betterment of Sports and Games, Coaching facilities from the experienced/qualified Coaches shall be provided to talented Youth on scientific lines henceforth regularly so that Sportspersons will improve their skills and give better performance in future competitions as well.
He revealed that draft of sports policy is under active consideration of the government which provides various incentives to outstanding sportspersons and better infrastructure facilities.
