SRINAGAR: A ten-day Open Football coaching camp kick started at Kashmir University, a statement issued by KUs physical education department said.
According to the statement, J&Ks first International Football Coach Sajid Yousuf Dar who is also varsitys coach will be providing coaching to the participants.
Its first time in the history of the KU an open coaching camp has been started which will not only benefit the university students but also to the passionate players who fall within the vicinity of Kashmir University, it added.
Giving the details about the camp KUs football coach Sajid Dar said that department of Physical Education and Sports has taken initiative to contribute towards to the development of football in the valley and for that initially we will be organising small camps at regular intervals.
It is very difficult for the students and players from this area to go to polo ground or Bakshi Stadium where they can be trained. So this is the opportunity for them where they can take full advantage out of this camp,Dar said.
Director physical Education and Sports Prof Nisar Ahmad said We have decided to provide the platform to the players where they can get quality coaching. We have started with football and will be following with other disciplines as well.
