SRINAGAR: Former Minister and MLA Amirakadal Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday assured a holistic development of Amirakadal constituency in a time-bound manner.
Addressing a party convention at Humhama, Bukhari said that he will continue to ensure proper development of every nook and corner of Amirakadal constituency on modern lines.
The former minister remarked that he has already identified certain projects for this financial year that will surely give a fillip to improvement and upgradation of roads, safe drinking water supply, better power supply, solid waste management and other projects pertaining to different sectors of the development in Amirakadal constituency.
While taking an appraisal of ongoing developmental works in the area, the party workers appealed Bukhari to address their day to day problems related to power, roads and water. I assure you that all these issues will be addressed on priority basis. I will visit all the areas of my constituency including those identified by you along with the government officers and will try to address these problems at an earliest, Bukhari told the convention.
On this occasion Managing Director FM Group of Companies Mukhtar Ahmed Dar joined PDP along with scores of other activists including many social activists from the area.
Welcoming Mukhtar to the party fold, Bukhari said youth empowerment has always been in the agenda of PDP and is now the main focus of present dispensation under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Youth have always held a special place in the PDP and the present government wants to instill confidence among the youth so that they can lead the State to new heights, Bukhari observed.
Saifuddin Bhat, MLC, Muntazir Mohiudin PDP District President Budgam, PDP leader Abdul Hameed Kosheen and Mohammad Ashraf Dar, PDP Zone President Amirakadal and other leaders of the party were present on this occasion. (CNS)
