Srinagar : AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has appealed army and civil administration to have some pity on the worst miserable condition of inhabitants of border villages of Sillykoot, Soora and Hatlanga and added that those crying about miseries of Kashmiri Pandits should speak a word for these deprived and ignored people who are living without any basic facility and have been jailed in the so called LOC fencing.
Er Rasheed while interacting with a gathering of the inhabitants after paying condolences to the family members of those who had died in the tragic accident two days back at Sillykoot, appealed army to show their Sadbhavna towards the inhabitants of Sillykoot, Soora and Hatlanga, who have been caged for their only fault that they reside at so called LOC.
Er Rasheed said, The area has been deprived of road connectivity, health facilities, education, drinking water and all other basic immunities.
The villagers cannot have a movement of their choice as army has created temporary gates at the entry points to the villages and the gates are opened only at fixed times and in case of even small eventualities death and destruction rolls their heads. It would have been better if army and civil administration would have developed these villages as real modal villages so that people across the LOC would have developed some good impression. But the facts and ground situation proves that their every fundamental right has been seized. No rent is being provided to the owners of hundreds of kannals of land which is under use of army and neither the government record shows any details about the land under occupation by army. The gravity of the matter can be understood by the fact that the five ill fated persons who died in the tragic accident were buried in the middle of a path, due to non availability of land for the graveyard.
Er Rasheed appealed high level army authorities to realise the grave problems of the villagers through humanitarian angle or allow them to migrate to the other side of the LOC and added that those talking about Kashmiri hindu self-styled migrants or grass root human right violations of Kashmiri people should not forget how the inhabitants of these three villages have been forced to love a life worst than the hell.
