Umar-e-Islami chief Qazi Ahmed Yasir also joined the sit in and said JNU episode is another miscarriage of Justice and the way whole issue was dealt with is a small glimpse of how the voices of dissent are dealt with in Kashmir. He said Kashmiris are with everybody who seek justice because we ourselves are resisting the brutality and fighting for justice.
Yasir said that Kashmiris are with everyone whose voice is muzzled by force and is not allowed to exercise his rights, be it free speech, right to education or right to dissent. Qazi Ahmed Yasir ridiculed the use of force against the students in JNU and Hyderabad Central University calling it mockery of Justice by champions of Democracy. Mirwaiz Yasir meanwhile praised the peace and justice loving class who have stood by the oppressed Kashmiris and the exploited students of JNU.
