JAMMU: On the 8th day of its 10-day special campaign against the sale and supply of sub-standard milk and its allied products in the state, the J&K Food Safety Authorities (JKFSA) have destroyed 985 liters of adulterated/sub-standard milk and also lifted 42 samples from different parts of the State.
The special drive, which was launched by the JKFSA on the directions of the Minister for Health & Medical Education has yielded tangible results on ground and has also created great impact on those dealing with the supply and sale of such products. The campaign has also sent positive message in the society and people are voluntarily approaching the authorities regarding the sale and supply of milk products and other daily consumable items in the market.
Meanwhile, the Food Safety Authorities have issued an appeal to the general public to provide necessary feedback on the supply of unwholesome eatables so that these unasked the shopkeepers and milk sellers to ensure quality supply of milk and other food items to the consumers enabling it to take appropriate actions against the unscrupulous elements.
