Srinagar,: The secretary Tourism, Floriculture, gardens and parks Farooq Ahmad Shah took an extensive review meeting of the tourism and floriculture department in SKICC today in which various issues and operations of the said sectors were discussed.
The secretary mentioned about the inspiring tourism success stories of Kerala and Rajasthan for development of international standard destinations.
The meeting which was attended by Director Tourism Kashmir Mehmood Shah, Director floriculture Kashmir, Talat Parvez, Director SKICC Yasmeen Khan, MD Golf development authority, secretary RSGC, CEO’s and Exen’s of all tourism development authorities lasted for 6 hrs in which the officials were strictly instructed to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of their respective tourism destinations in view of the prevailing tourism season so that the visitors will have a smooth travel experience.
The secretary stressed for providing all kinds of facilitation to the visitors by using eco friendly methods and materials for construction of public conveniences and other infrastructure required for the stay and leisure of visitors.
The secretary urged the officials to complete the ongoing works under CM’s commitment on priority and on fast track basis ,He further asked them to furnish the relevant DPR’s at the earliest so that the work on tourism developmental projects can be started as soon as possible, specifically the projects which are meant for waste disposal and maintenance of prime tourist locations of the valley, the secretary warned the officials that any kind of deviation and violation can be dealt with strongly
