SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner, Udhmapur, Shahid Choudhary, Saturday attached a Tehsildar for dereliction of duty and imposed a fine of Rs 35,000 on delinquent Tehsil Supply Officers for their failure to implement directions related to public services in time bound manner.
An official in Udhampur said that the Tehsildar Chenani was attached in the office of Addl Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur for dereliction of duty and after detection of observations related to mismanagement of office records, accounts and other vital duties. Addl DC has been asked to hold a detailed enquiry in the matter. SDM Chenani has been asked to make alternate arrangements for functioning of Tehsil Office.
A fine of Rs 5,000 each was realised from 7 Tehsil Supply Officers of Udhampur, Ramnagar, Latti-Majori, Basantgarh, Chenani, Panchari and Moungri for delay in implementation of directions related to redressal of public grievances and a last opportunity of two days was granted for furnishing of action taken report. The fine of Rs 35,000 was realised as donation to District Red Cross Society which plays a vital role for relief to victims of accidents, natural calamities, patients, physically handicapped and orphan students
Meanwhile, Addl Deputy Commissioner inspected the Ration Depots and furnished report to Deputy Commissioner regarding observance of directions issued for detailed information in public domain. Tehsildar and AD CAPD accompanied.
