Srinagar: On the directions of Chairman Hurriyat (G), Syed Ali Geelani, a high level delegation of Hurriyat (G) comprising of Dy secretary General Gh Nabi Sumji, Gh Ahmed Gulzar, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Hakeem Ab Rashid, Bilal Sidiqi, Mohd Yousuf Naqash and Mohd Yaseen Attai Thursday visited Distt Kupwara and paid glorious tributes to the martyrs and expressed grief and sorrow with martyrs families.
The delegation expressed solidarity with the bereaved families on behalf of Geelani.
The delegations after visiting Shaheed Nayeems home the delegation held a massive public rally at Handwara chowk wherein leaders addressed the people of Handwara and said, on the one hand our children are mercilessly being killed in cold blood and on the other hand we are denied to mourn the death of our loved ones.
While addressing the people Sumji said, though the pro-Indian politicians on these occasions also condemn these incidents but they are equally responsible for this bloodshed. They provide a justification for the forced occupation of India in Kashmir.
He said in this situation we have to be firm and strong over our stand which is an only option for us and our resolve is that we will never give up our rights and till India is forcibly occupying our land, we will continue our struggle in any way and never sell the blood of martyrs for the sake of small interests, he said.
Moreover, Hurriyat leaders applauds shaheed Nayeems father for his refusal of govt compensation and salutes his steadfastness and commitment towards the freedom struggle and said since 1988 Kupwara offered great sacrifices for the Kashmir cause as we witnessed bloodshed and martyrs in every corner of said district.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Geelani, a delegation comprised of Gh Mohd khan sopori, Fayaz Ahmed Das ,Shakir Ahmed Mir,Sabzar Ahmed Bhat, Bashir Ahmed and Irfan Ahmed visited home of United Jihad Council (UJC) vice chairman Muhammad Usman and expressed grief over the demise of his mother and extended Geelanis condolence and solidarity message to the bereaved family.
