Srinagar: Accusing Unionist politicians for providing legal cover to Indian forces, incarcerated JKLF chairperson Mohammad Yasin Malik Monday termed the killings at Kupwara and Handwara is a glaring example of this fact.
The reign of terror and spree of arrests after Handwara and Kupwara killings shows that Jammu Kashmir is a police state, Malik, who is under continuous detention from April 10 along with other JKLF leaders, said.
The hypocritical politics that is being played by pro-India politicians has once again proved the fact that they can go down to any limit for their lust of power, Malik said in a JKLF statement this evening.
He added, pro-Indian politicians started cooking up stories to protect killers and murderers to initiate a debate on whether the protest was justified or not justified. If so-called rulers are convinced that their forces had done nothing then what for are they making announcements of so-called probes and investigations?
He asked that how can tyrants, killers and murderers judge their own crimes and investigate them.
Malik further said, all these things are done to cover up the crimes of Indian forces and this is yet another glaring example of these pro-India politicians being strategic assets of Indian army. On one hand, they kill our kith and kin and on the other hand put us under curfew choking space in the name of so-called democracy.
Meanwhile JKLF paid rich tributes to great martyr and pro-freedom leader S Hamid.
Recalling his struggle and sacrifices, a JKLF spokesperson said, Shaheed S Hamid was a great son of soil and his sacrifices will always be remembered.
